1. Information stored on your device
Video + can store browser history, bookmarks, open tabs, site settings, cookies and other WebKit website data, playback progress, playlists, imported media, thumbnails, theme choices, and app settings on your device.
File-server history may include a server address and account name. If you include a password in a connection URL, it may also be stored locally. The app masks passwords in the visible history, but you should prefer encrypted protocols and avoid reusing important passwords.
2. Information sent when you use network features
- Websites you visit receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, device/browser details, requests, and any information you submit. Their policies govern their use of that data.
- Search text may be sent to Google’s suggestion service as you type. Video URLs may be sent to YouTube or Dailymotion when the app requests title and thumbnail metadata.
- When you connect to HTTP(S), WebDAV, FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, or UPnP/DLNA resources, connection details and requests go directly to the server or service you choose. Native transfers to internet hosts require HTTPS or WebDAVS. Cleartext HTTP and WebDAV are accepted only for local-network hosts; FTP remains unencrypted and should be used only on a trusted network.
- Files selected through Apple’s Photos or Files interfaces are processed for the features you request. Files may come from iCloud Drive or another provider you have enabled in Files.
3. Google Drive and Google API data
When you connect Google Drive, Video + requests only the drive.file permission. Google’s file picker asks you to choose one or more files and grants Video + access only to those files. The app receives the selected files’ identifiers, names, MIME types, sizes, modification times, download availability, and media bytes used for artwork extraction, streaming with seeking, or an explicit offline download. Video + cannot browse files you did not select, scan your full Drive, or create, modify, rename, move, share, or delete Drive files.
Google Drive requests travel directly between Video + on your device and Google APIs. Access tokens are kept temporarily in memory. The refresh token and granted permission are stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only protection. Video + does not request your Google profile or email and does not send Google OAuth tokens, Google credentials, Drive metadata, or Drive file contents to developer-operated servers.
Video + may keep credential-free references to files you selected, their metadata, playback progress, thumbnails, artwork, and user-requested downloads on your device. If you enable optional iCloud app-data sync, credential-free online-library references, metadata, playback progress, and thumbnail previews may be stored in your private Apple CloudKit database solely to synchronize the visible library feature across your devices. Google OAuth tokens, Google credentials, and Drive media-file contents are not included in that app-data sync.
Disconnecting Google Drive removes the locally stored Google refresh token, permission record, and selected-file list. Local online-library entries, thumbnails, and downloaded copies remain until you delete them. Synced library deletions are reflected during the next enabled iCloud sync; private iCloud data otherwise remains subject to your Apple account and iCloud controls. Video + does not create aggregated or anonymized Google Drive datasets, sell or transfer Google user data to advertisers or data brokers, use it for advertising or credit decisions, permit routine human access, or use it to develop, improve, or train AI or machine-learning models. Video +'s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads to show native and app-open advertisements. Google’s SDK may process IP address, approximate location, device identifiers, advertising data, app interactions, performance data, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and analytics. Video + does not intentionally send your browser history, local media library, file-server credentials, cloud-drive metadata, cloud-drive credentials, or cloud-drive file contents to Google Mobile Ads for advertising.
Google acts under its own terms and privacy practices. Available consent and advertising controls may depend on your region and Apple device settings.
5. Website data
This website stores your language preference in your browser’s local storage. It does not currently use marketing analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting server may automatically log IP address, browser or device details, requested path, time, and security events for delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention. We keep operational logs only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
6. Backups, retention, and deletion
Your device and Apple account settings control system backups. Video + lets you choose whether imported videos are eligible for iCloud Backup; this is a device backup, not a developer-operated media service.
You can delete media, playlists, bookmarks, file-server history, cloud-drive library entries, downloaded copies, and other app data in the app where controls are available. WebKit website data can be cleared through app controls or system settings. Deleting the app removes its local container, subject to Keychain items and backups retained under Apple’s platform behavior and your Apple account settings. Disconnect a cloud-drive account before deleting the app if you want Video + to remove its locally stored OAuth session.
7. Children, security, and international processing
Video + is a general-audience media utility and is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age in their country. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information to us.
No system is perfectly secure. Third-party websites, cloud-drive providers, ad providers, email providers, Apple, and servers you connect to may process information in other countries under their own safeguards and laws.
8. Your choices and contact
You can limit data by disconnecting cloud-drive accounts; deleting local media, online-library entries, thumbnails, and downloads; disabling optional iCloud sync; avoiding search suggestions, advertising interactions, untrusted websites, and unencrypted servers; clearing local data; and using Apple’s privacy, iCloud, and advertising controls. 9. Changes
We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the website, the app, or an App Store update as appropriate.
